Now seems to be too late. Searching for shortcuts, requiring everything now has become a standard.
Especially after working at a café, I realized how many people think that getting things straight away is natural. I always wanted to reply: "I'm sorry, this is not McDonalds, we're not a fast food." A good coffee plus many other orders require time.
People who come assume that they are the only ones who are being served and thus misunderstandings happen. However, this is not the only case. In everyday life, we want everything fast and faster. I guess it's especially the pace of larger cities, big companies who give the "tempo". I also started to work faster and I look for ways how to do things in an effective manner, but the requirements often surpass the possibilities.
In order to escape this haunting lifestyle to find some inner peace, I go into the wild to get a grasp of different reality, different pace. When you look around, you see that birds don't fly faster, fish don't jump higher. In the nature you understand what is what.
I'm not surprised that many people feel nervous, agitated when they are pushed beyond their capability. Doing things in the right way - the longer way - gives you a soothing feeling. Skipping time seems to be creating holes, not a surprise we keep missing something.
