Duality

I can’t help but noticing duality everywhere. Usually people want you to decide for one thing or another, but for me... It seems that these lines are disappearing gradually. World is made to confuse us. Or are we made to confuse the world?

Good or bad.
Beautiful or ugly.
Young or old.

These are a few of the basic ones we’re encountering frequently. People want you to choose or judge what is what, but I can’t see the difference. Especially with time, you might look at things the other way around. The worst events in your life can turn in the best things and vice versa.

Everyone’s perspective is different, fortunately. So where one person sees a tragedy, the other one sees opportunity. This shows we have a choice how to look at things. This choice, however, can cause a lot of misery to individuals. Giving the value of good and bad causes fights or pain sometimes. I mean, simply accepting things how they are can relieve a lot of pressure.

On the other hand, they can be a source of power as well. There is no denying that, even though many people do so. I always try to find a „better“  way of looking at things. It’s delightful and it brings hope.

But let’s go back... Can you say that day is good and night is bad or that rain is better than the sun? What about sweet and bitter? It is our personal preference or maybe it’s just how it is. There is not one without another.

Perhaps it’s not that complicated. In the end, it’s all about looking right and looking left. Not about looking right and looking wrong...
