Ever since I moved to Wivenhoe, I started
to walk to work. It takes about 30 minutes when I walk fast. Every time I
mention it to someone, they pity me that I have to walk so much. Truth is that
these walks are probably the best moment of my day.
When I lived in the other appartment, I
had it approximately two minutes to work which was very convenient. However I
missed going outside. I felt that the days are either too short or I was lazy
to get out, so I appreciated the opportunity of walking to work. Fortunately it
is getting warmer and days are getting longer. It is like a miracle to observe
the changes in nature. Every day I get to see and appreciate something new.
These walks are for me like an ocean of
inspiration, motivation and beauty. It is an escape to nature, a blessing to
walk along the river surrounded by trees, bushes and flowers. I can’t help it,
but I always imagine the Shire, hobbits and all the magic from Tolkiens books.
And I understand that this place must’ve been so inspirational for him, because
I think about new stories and ideas every day.
Almost every time, I enjoy beautiful
weather and many bird companions. If I am tired or sad, I can usually find
peace, energy and harmony in all the green and blue. The sounds are calming as
well. I noticed recently, that I am very vulnerable to noisy places like our
workplace. The tremendous sound itself is making me tired, so I really
appreciate quiet and nature. It is a place where I can always find answers or
just rest.
On the other hand, sometimes I need a bit
of Wolfmother or any other rock/loud/crazy music to let it out.
Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.
